THIS IS WHY WE ARE OPPOSING A GOLF COURSE PREMISE INSIDE THE PARK
The Parco di Monza is also housing a golf club, a private association composed of some 700 members. In other words, 300 people only have the sole use of approx. 1 million sq.meters of Park, whilst folks, namely 2 million visitors per year, have 3 million sq.meters at their disposal as a whole

In order to become a member of Golf Club Milano it is necessary to be introduced by a member, and there is a waiting list. Then you need to pay 15,000 euro as registration fee, non repayable, and a yearly fee of 3,000 euro. This means that the Golf Club Milano managers can collect 2,100,000 euro as business share, while paying a yearly rent of euro 560,000 only. Over 3,000 signatures had been gathered against the renewal of this grant. However, the Monza city administrators preferred not to consider these signatures. In fact, they renewed this grant without even claiming the return of one the 27 holes of this golf course premise, namely 9 more than the 18 holes that are requested in international competitions.

In 2008 the grant to the Golf Club Milano has been renewed for 14 years, namely up to: 2022

It is a misbelief that golf courses do not damage environment. Go to this page and read the truth.
